EKPEYE ETHNIC NATION LANGUAGE COMMITTEE
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

As approved by His Imperial Majesty, Eze/ Amb. Kelvin Ngozi Anugwo, PhD, JP, AP DSSRS, FNIM MNIMN Eze Ekpeye Logbo III of Ekpeye land the Ekpeye ethnic nation language Committee was sworn in on 26th August 2023 at Ekpeye House, 14 king’s street Ahoada, during Uzugbani Ekpeye National Congress

CREATION

To create, teach and apply terms on the several levels of semantic domain, including the aqua life, land, airspace and other abstract families, using the basic principles of translation as guide and considering the peculiarities of Ekpeye as a distinct language of the Niger/ Congo family

MOBILIZATION

To mobilize all available measures in order to build, correct and redefine Ekpeye names, titles and terms, including spelling errors and mispronunciation of community names and aligning them with the best linguistic practices.

ESTABLISHMENT

To establish enabling environment and policies (where necessary) on Ekpeye Language, based on the ethical principles and best practices for its study and application.

DIRECTION

To direct, guide, regulate and review (where necessary), all language related efforts, using the Federal Government approved orthography for Ekpeye Language.

IMPLEMENTATION

To fully implement the UBEB teaching of Ekpeye Language in primary and Secondary schools (public and private) in Ekpeye land.

THE TAKE OVER

To take over the management of the current Ekpeye International School Ahoada, in order to train the needed number of teachers for the full implementation of the state Government project on the teaching of mother tongue in accordance with the new National Policy on Nigerian Languages.

MISSION

We are determined to vigorously pursue, harness and develop Ekpeye literacy in every academic, religious and cultural environment in order to give Ekpeye a pride of place in the comity of ethnic nations.

VISION

To be the epicenter of Ekpeye language with the investigation and application of the principles of language translation and other linguistic variables.

WORKSHOP

To conduct regular workshops to enable the generality of the people study and master reading and writing Ekpeye language including the Holy Bible, Song books and other literacy works in Ekpeye language.
To oversee or supervise all translation works in Ekpeye Language to ensure precision in its literacy works.
Any others as may be directed by HIM Eze Ekpeye Logbo III from time to time.

A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF HIM EZE SIR AMB. KELVIN NGOZI ANUGWO PHD, JP, AP, EZE EKPEYE LOGBO III OF EKPEYE ETHNIC NATION IN COMMEMORATION OF HIS 52ND BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY.

HIM Eze Sir Amb Ekpeye Ngozi Anugwo PhD, JP, AP, Eze Ekpeye Logbo III of Ekpeye Ethnic Nation represents a new breed of leaders whose interest and passion to excel, bears witness to his present.

BIRTH:

Eze Anugwo, the new and the 3rd Eze Ekpeye Logbo of Ekpeyeland was born in 1970, 52 years ago. Born in the ancient Ula-Upata Community.

MARRIAGE:

Eze Anugwo is happily married to Her Imperial Majesty Queen Francisca Anugwo from Ula-Ehuda community in Ahoada East LGA. Their marriage is blessed with two lovely children both boys.

RELIGION:

A devout Christian. Eze Anugwo is a recipient of many awards from the body of Christ. From being a Knight of the United Native African (U.N.A) Church, now First African Church Mission. He is as well a Catechument member of the Rivers Archdeaconry of the Church.

EDUCATION:

He attended State School Ula-Upata where he obtained the First Leaving School Certificate in 1981. And in 1988, he had his O’Level from Akpor Grammar School, Ozuoba. An alumnus of the Rivers State University and the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUOE) Port Harcourt, Rivers State. His Imperial Majesty Eze Anugwo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in 2004, Master of Science degree in 2019 and Doctor of Philosophy in 2022, all in accounting.

CAREER:

An astute business professional with over 10 years’ experience across hospitality, oil and gas sectors, security management and personnel management among others. He maintains warm approach to things he holds dear. He is one personality endowed with enormous talents. His journey through life has been accompanied with firm belief and conviction that challenges are the species that saddle a man on the pool of greatness. One of a few business leaders whose tenacity and innovative thinking sets him apart. Anugwo is the Chief Executive Officer, Tropicana Hotel & Garden, a foremost hotel located in Ula-Upata in Ahoada town, Rivers State. The hotel is making significant stride in creating employment and it also a leading brand in the business of hospitality.

EXPERIENCE AND PROFESSION:

He is also a consummate professional with strong passion for excellence. The First-Class traditional ruler is a career individual with extensive and diverse experience in economics, accounting and investment analysis. And he has an excellent interpersonal skill, with persuasive ability to communicate flawlessly at all levels.

He has attended courses as an Accounting Officer and got trained for clerical officers’ improvement and productivity and has acquired basic industrial and basic firefighting skills. He served in various capacities with Total E&P Nig. Ltd such as: Security Administration Officer, Security Decentralized Buyer, Chief Security Officer at NMI, Fellow Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) (FNIM), Security Central Finance and Coordinator Personnel and Welfare. As a Cost Controllers on Budget Input and Payment of Government Security Forces (GSF) and has interfaced with other departments. Eze Anugwo holds a Certificate in Basic Industrial Security.

In all of the tasks he was saddled with, Eze Anugwo exceedingly excelled. Even as his economic and social status continues to broaden, his philanthropy and selflessness for community service is on the increase. This is in consonance with the immense potentials he carries as a traditional ruler and socialite. His sterling qualities as a prime mover and catalyst of success has truly endeared him to many.

LEADERSHIP:

His Imperial Majesty, Eze Kelvin Ngozi Anugwo came from holding a traditional title: Agida Ekpeye Logbo II in 2017. He held forte as the Nye-Udu Ede Upata Clan I of Upata Kingdom before ascending the mythical throne of the Ekpeye people as the Eze Ekpeye Logbo III on May 4th, 2022. He replaces the late Ekpeye monarch, His Imperial Majesty, Eze Robinson Okparauwo Robinson, CON who joined his ancestors.
